The roots of tobacco plants were subjected to a wide range of simulated aeration conditions. In general plant functions were not appreciably reduced until the CO2 concentration became greater than the O2 concentration but were sharply reduced after the CO2 to O2 ratio became larger than one. Please view the pdf by using the Full Text (PDF) link under 'View' to the left.
