Effect of Subsoiling and Rotation on Yields of Corn1

Yields of corn were consistently depressed by sub-soiling when soil moisture was at field capacity. Rotation substantially corrected this in about 4 years. Yields of corn were closely related to water stability of aggregates and to soil bulk density measurements.
