Spring Wheat Production in Taiwan1

Taiwan, a sub-tropical island, grows early varieties of spring wheat from November to the middle of February as a catch crop after harvesting two crops of rice per annum. The average yield of wheat amounted to 25 bushels per acre in 1956.
