Synopsis

Synopsis

Placement of exchangeable NH4-N (NH4-clay) at 2 inches below the surface gave highest yields of paddy grains and total dry matter. Deeper placements induced the vegetative growth more than grain formation. The difference in yields of surface application and 2-inch placement was not significant.
