Synopsis

Synopsis

Ammonium sulfate in ten split applications increased total growth but had no significant effect on turf quality over natural organics and urea-form compounds. Seasonal growth distribution was more uniform when slowly available nitrogen materials were used although significant differences in growth rates were evident in the early part of the season. Data indicate that the value of any form of nitrogen depends primarily on how it is used.
