Variability in Results from Greenhouse Pot Experiments Comparing Phosphorus Rates and Sources1

  1. G. L. Terman2

Synopsis

Synopsis

Highly significant decreases were found in C.V. with increases in mean yields of dry matter by corn, small grains, and grasses. Error mean squares and standard errors per pot increased with mean yields. Variability in uptake of P was equal to or greater than for yields of dry matter by the various crops. Stands of plants and method of mixing phosphates affected variability.
