Synopsis

Synopsis

Lodging resistance in oat crosses as measured by the cLr method appeared to be genetically controlled. Heritability percentages were 19, 6, and 15, respectively, for the F2–F3, F2–F4, and F3–F4, comparisons. Considerable variability for lodging resistance was found among lines selected from Clintland variety.
