Effect of Nitrogen Source on Yield and Nitrogen Content of Bluegrass Forage1
- C. B. Kresge and
- S. E. Younts2
Yields from plots receiving 75% nitrogen as urea-formaldehyde and 25% as urea compared favorably to those from plots receiving urea, (NH4)2SO4, or NH4NO3. Use of urea-formaldehyde resulted in more uniform seasonal distribution of yield and greater residual effect but caused lower nitrogen content and percent nitrogen recovery in the forage. Please view the pdf by using the Full Text (PDF) link under 'View' to the left.
