Yields of orchardgrass and bromegrass were increased significantly by each increment of nitrogen with 0, 30, 60, 120, and 240 pounds per acre rates. Orchardgrass tended to outyield bromegrass at higher N rates. Application of N to grass-legume mixtures resulted in increased yield of dry matter due to increased growth of the grass component. Please view the pdf by using the Full Text (PDF) link under 'View' to the left.
