Productivity of Four Selected Tennessee Soils in Terms of Corn Yield1

Corn yields from four soils indicated that, regardless of soil type, high plant populations were necessary for maximum productivity, and that optimum plants per acre varied with soil type. Each soil had a distinctly different range in yield which was characteristic of its productive capacity.
