Synopsis

Synopsis

Forage production of Pensacola bahiagrass was increased by nitrogen fertilization up to 200 pounds of N per acre. Six-week intervals between harvests resulted in higher yields than 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-week intervals. The leaf-to-seed stalk ratio was not affected by either the N fertilization or clipping interval.
