Synopsis

Synopsis

Plants grown in solution cultures began showing typical Mn toxicity symptoms when the tissue concentration reached about 3,000 ppm Mn. Excess AI in the nutrient solution caused stunting of the plants but did not cause abnormal coloring. Much of the injury from high concentrations of Mn was overcome by increasing the concentration of Fe in the nutrient solution.
