Chemical Composition of Tobacco in Relation to Leaf-Burn and Quality1
- L. A. Peterson and
- T. W. Tibbits2
Leaf-burn of tobacco was significantly related to the leaf constituents in the following order of importance: K(+) > Cl(−) > SO4−S(−) > Mg(−) > NO3−N(−) > total N(−). Magnesium was the only constituent that was significantly related (inversely) to quality. Please view the pdf by using the Full Text (PDF) link under 'View' to the left.
