Synopsis

Synopsis

Both the direct and residual effects of N and P fertilizer were representable as segments of the same linear regression equation of yield of lint on axis nodes, length of plants, N content, N uptake, yield of dry matter, harvestable bolls, and P uptake. Yield of lint did not show a regression on P content. Absorption and utilization of applied N dominated the growth and fruiting of Acala cotton for two years after application.
