Synopsis

Synopsis

Seedling emergence of cotton was increased by the use of soil conditioners, evaporation-suppressing agents, and chemicals to reduce crust strength, and by altering geometric characteristics of the soil surface. Seedling emergence was negatively correlated with crust strength and positively correlated with moisture content of the top 3 inches of soil.
