Ogden soybeans had 80% of seed shattering from the south side of east-west rows and 58% from the west side of north-south rows. There was no difference in seed yield or amount of shattering between the two row directions studied. Seed temperatures were higher on the sides of rows where greatest shattering occurred. Average moisture content of seed was lower on north-south rows suggesting that seed in these rows would be ready to harvest earlier than in east-west rows.
