Dry Matter Accumulation and Moisture Loss During Maturation of Corn Grain1

Significant differences in the rate of drying were found among corn single crosses. Parental inbred lines differed in their effects on the rate of moisture loss. Ninety-five percent of physiologic maturity varied from 53–61 days after silking.
