Effect of Water Vapor Transmission Rates of Package Material and Storage Conditions on Seed Quality1

Water vapor transmission rates of polyethylene material are inversely proportional to protective value for seed storage under tropical, temperate, and warehouse conditions in western Oregon. The rates could be used as single criterion for evaluating materials in packaging seed for safe storage.
