Synopsis

Tetrazolium staining evaluation of internal seed structures were used successfully (r = 0.96) to predict cold test performance of 92 commercially processed and treated lots of corn. Germination percentages ranged from 89 to 100, and cold test values ranged from 38 to 95%.
