seedling establishment of placing more than one seed in a seed-spot or hill. Crested wheatgrass (Agropyron desertorum (Fisch. ex Link.) Schult.), pubescent wheatgrass (Agropyron tricbophorum (Link) Richt.) and Russian wildrye (Elymus junceus Fisch.) were planted at 2 locations in northern Colorado in seed-spots that contained 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 seeds per spot. At Fort Collins, the number of seedlings produced per seed planted was reduced as the number of seeds per spot was increased.
