Agro-Meteorological Environment Affecting Rice Yield1

Pot experiments were used to determine optimum water requirements for rice under different meteorological conditions. Maximum yields were obtained in the cool-dry reproductive season, followed by the hot-dry and hot-wet. Soil moisture content less than saturation reduced yields in all seasons.
