Symap and Net Radiation in a Soybean Canopy1

Spatially disposed net radiation data from a soybean canopy were mapped using an interpolation and mapping computer program called “Symap.” A large proportion of radiation was intercepted by the upper peripheral layer of leaves. The Symap program has application to other crop environment studies.
