Effects of certain preemergence herbicides on Diochondra spp.
- H.H. Williams
The response of Dichondra spp. to various application rates of five herbicides for the control of three weeds was investigated in a field study. In an effort to document probable causes of failure when herbicides are used, especially by the home gardener, the test sites selected were home lawns where environmental factors are usually quite variable. Due to wide variance in data accrued between replications, the results obtained were considered to be insufficiently definitive. Some quantitative and qualitative, measurements were developed delineating the comparative performance of these five herbicides as to effectiveness and toxicity at several application rates.
