Abstract

This chapter provides a current overview of mathematical approaches for assessing the nutritional status of a crop, to supply verified algorithms for interpretation and comparative weighting of plant analytical data, and to present a procedure for calculating the sulfur fertilizer demand of oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.). In each case, special attention is given to sulfur nutrition.
