Abstract

Abstract

The use of the approach method of cross-pollinating rice has given an overall average of 57% hybrid seed set. The amount of time needed to make crosses, and the amount of parental material grown for making crosses has been reduced substantially. This has allowed many more hybridizations to be made with available facilities.
