Abstract

Abstract

A new reduced plant stature mutant (reduced-2, rd2) in corn controlled by a single recessive gene was found to be non-allelic to several dwarf and semidwarf characters previously described. Chromosomal translocations were used to locate the linkage group that carries the reduced gene. The results suggest that rd2 is located on chromosome 6.
