Abstract

Abstract

Certain R alleles of maize were used to test for the presence of the floury-2 allele in putative double mutants opaque-2, floury-2. With the use of double pollinations a generation of testcrossing could be eliminated for floury-2. The results indicate the Rnj allele could be used to advantage in the genetic backgrounds tested.
