Abstract

Abstract

Linkage between the Pisum gene sbm (conditioning resistance to the pea seed-borne mosaic virus) and wlo (conditioning deposition of wax on pea leaflets) was studied in the F2 generation. No crossovers were detected in four crosses, involving 323 plants, but two were found in a fifth cross, involving 398 plants. The combined data from all crosses gave a crossover value of 11.95%, indicating that sbm is in Pisum linkage group VI.
