Abstract

Abstract

Young sugarcane (Saccharum hybrid) seedlings receiving 8 hours of full sunlight (ca. 200–300 cal cm−2) did not respond to supplementary lighting. However, the turnover of seedlings up to transplant age may be significantly increased, without extending the glasshouse and constant temperature room area, by using artificial lights.
