The Journal of Environmental Quality is seeking an Associate Editor for a three-year term (2017-2019) to serve in the area of Atmospheric Pollutants and Trace Gases, with expertise related to urban air pollution and air quality issues. The AE oversees the evaluation of manuscripts submitted to the journal. The main duties of an AE are to find 2 to 3 reviewers for an assigned manuscript, read each manuscript and the reviews, prepare a fair and knowledgeable evaluation, and make a recommendation regarding the paper. The AEs are typically assigned 6 to 10 manuscripts over the course of a year.
