Abstract

Abstract

A total of 126 soil water samples from solonetzic soils in southern Illinois were analyzed for sodium by the electrode method using a Beckman (No. 78187V) Na+ sensitive electrode, and by the flame photometer method. The results obtained from these two methods agree closely as indicated by the highly significant correlation coefficient, r = 0.9989.
