Abstract

Abstract

The solubility constant for ZnSiO3 reported in the literature is based on invalid thermodynamic data. The agreement between Zn2+ concentrations in some soils and the invalid solubility constant for ZnSiO3 is coincidental. The presence of this compound in soils is very unlikely.
