Acidity in Lateritic Rice Soils as Estimated by Various Methods1

Acidity estimated by various methods was significantly correlated with total acidity (exchange acidity + pH-dependent acidity) and varied from 28.4% to 82.4% of total acidity. The overall efficiency of the various methods studied was of the following decreasing order:
