The CEC of five subsoils derived from volcanic ash (Trumao soils) in southern Chile was measured following treatment with phosphate solutions with concentrations ranging from 0.0042 to 0.416 moles KH2PO4/liter. The average ratio of increase in CEC to P reacted was 0.6 with only small variations among soils. Please view the pdf by using the Full Text (PDF) link under 'View' to the left.
