Abstract

Abstract

A simple method is described for the separation of mixtures of CH4, N2O, CO2, N2, and O2 in soil atmospheres using a single sample. This method uses two columns of Porapak Q at different temperatures but requires only one detector and recorder. Total analysis time is 23 min, but samples can be injected every 17 min without conflicting peaks.
