Steady Infiltration from Single and Periodic Strip Sources1

  1. Vedat Batu2

Abstract

Abstract

The matric flux potential and horizontal and vertical flux distributions were obtained using Fourier analysis techniques for single and periodic strip sources located on the soil surface. The theory is based on the assumption that the hydraulic conductivity is an exponential function of the soil water potential. The matric flux potential distributions were compared with the results obtained by Warrick and Lomen (1976) who used different mathematical techniques.
